Buffalo Police Make Arrest in Thursdays Fatal Shooting

 

(Buffalo, NY) -- Buffalo Police Homicide Detectives have arrested a suspect in connection with Thursday evening's fatal shooting on Jefferson Avenue near East Utica.

Detectives have arrested 19 year old Charles Bryant III of No Permanent Address and charged him with: Murder in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

Police were called to the 1300 block of Jefferson Avenue at approximately 5:40pm Thursday, August 13th.

Detectives believe the victim, 40 year old Terrance Craig of Landon St. in the city was shot while in a parking lot at 1301 Jefferson Avenue.

Craig was rushed to ECMC but was pronounced dead a short time later.

This is the City's 38th homicide in 2009. Last year there were 37 homicides in 2008.

The investigation was led by Detective Sgt. James Lonergan , Detectives Scott Malec and Reginald Minor.
