Buffalo Dream Center's Church Van Stolen

The Buffalo Dream Center's Church van was stolen on Buffalo's west side on Saturday.

It's a 1999 15-passenger Dodge Ram, license plate ELF 8088.

Volunteers were spending the morning cleaning up a west side neighborhood and registering people for Boxes of Love, a holiday outreach program, when it was noted that the van was stolen.

Witnesses say they spotted the van around 3 p.m. near Grant and Lafayette St.

According to a release from the Buffalo Dream Center, the van is used everyday for things like youth and after school programs, to deliver food to the needy, and for tutoring and mentoring programs.

The Buffalo Dream Center asks that the van be returned in good condition. There will be no charges filed. It can be left in the parking lot of the Buffalo Christian Center at 512 Pearl St., or it can be returned to where it was taken from.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Buffalo Dream Center at 854-1001.
